Worldspan WorldGroup is a leading block space management solution for airlines worldwide. Using this tool, your airline is able to electronically ‘push’ receive requests, and process and control the request and sale of block space to agencies in the Worldspan GDS. This in turn improves utilisation of your inventory, protects and grows your revenues, and builds stronger client relationships.

Automate the distribution, management and sale of large blocks of inventory through your partners, such as travel agencies, consolidators, tour operators, cruise lines and others

Retain complete control of block space through your ability to designate authorised users, reclaim unsold block space based on pre-determined release dates, and set programmatic review/reminder dates for your partners as well as your airline to induce action or review

Eliminate creation of passive segments for block space, which removes name and itinerary discrepancies between your airline and your agreement holders
Workflow
- Your partners can hold block space in WorldGroup Inventory Records for up to 352 days before departure.
- Designated users have two methods of holding block space in an Inventory Record:
- Your designated users send a request for space and receive a response from your airline to accept or deny
- You can push space to the user, which automatically creates an Inventory Record
- Once confirmed by your airline, block space can be sold from Inventory Records into individual and/or group WorldGroup PNRs.
Requirement
- Access to Worldspan through a co-host terminal, or access to Worldspan Go!® Res
- Requires a Travelport agreement and participation in Worldspan at the Direct Sell level or above
