Workflow
A High-Level Overview of Our Market Size Estimation Methodology:
Step 1: Passenger traffic behaviours are applied to capacity and load factor statistics using proprietary algorithms.
Step 2: Passenger traffic flow patterns and estimations are applied to passenger travel activities using the following data sources: industry data, MIDT data and itinerary level data points. These data sources are used to create itinerary level O&D path estimates.
Step 3: Our business intelligence is finally applied to the raw market size estimates, which are recalibrated to produce true O&D market flows.
Step 4: Passenger flows are summed at the true O&D, true O&D by airline, and true O&D by airline by day-of-week levels to accurately estimate total market size.
