This China Addendum applies to the processing of your personal information by us if you are located in the People’s Republic of China (for purposes of this China Addendum excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) (“China”). This China Addendum supplements Travelport Business Partners privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) and sets out different or additional requirements stipulated by the local data protection laws in China. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the Privacy Policy and this China Addendum, this China Addendum shall govern and prevail.
Collection and Use of Sensitive Personal Information
We may collect and use sensitive personal information only to the extent necessary for the purposes described in ‘How does Travelport use this information?’ Section of the Privacy Policy.
We will obtain your separate consent for processing your sensitive personal information and adopt strict security measures when processing your sensitive personal information.
As you are aware, if sensitive personal information is leaked or illegally used, it may have a certain impact on your dignity, personhood, and the security of your property.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Information
We rely upon at least one of the following legal bases to process your personal information:
- You have consented to our processing of your personal information;
- The processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or to fulfill a request you have made;
- The processing is necessary to fulfill our statutory functions or statutory obligations;
- The personal information that has been disclosed by the individuals themselves or other personal information that has been legally disclosed is processed within a reasonable scope in accordance with applicable law; or
- Any other circumstance as provided by any law or administrative regulation.
Personal Information We Share
Travelport processes personal information (business contact data) about our travel agency customers and about our suppliers and travel providers which it stores in a central CRM system. Based on such purposes, we may share your personal information with Travelport Group companies globally who may process your personal information as follows:
- Recipient: Travelport LP
- Contact information: 300 Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia 30339, United States of America
- Categories of personal information being shared: name, email address (usually a corporate email), phone number (usually a work number), job title, name of employer (travel agency or travel provider/supplier).
- Purpose and means of the recipient’s processing: To manage the business relationship and provide support for Travelport customers, including service sales and after-sales services via Travelport’s central functions.
We will obtain your separate consent for the cross-border transfer of your personal information where required by law to the aforementioned group companies located outside of China. We will use appropriate cross-border transfer mechanisms to transfer your personal information outside of China and adopt necessary measures to ensure the overseas recipients can provide the level of protection as required under applicable Chinese laws.
Your Rights
You have specific legal rights with regard to the personal information that you have provided to Travelport, which include the following:
- the right to know and the right to decide on the processing of your personal information;
- the right to restrict or refuse the processing of your personal information by us;
- the right to consult and duplicate your personal information;
- the right to request us to correct or supplement your personal information where you find the information is incorrect or incomplete;
- the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal information based on your consent (but please note that your withdrawal of consent does not affect the validity of the processing of your personal information that has been carried out based on your consent before the withdrawal);
- the right to request the transfer of your personal information to your designated personal information processors;
- the right to delete your personal information under specific circumstances.
