LANGLEY, UK, 15 March 2022: Travelport, a global technology company that powers travel bookings for hundreds of thousands of travel suppliers worldwide, today announced that it has extended its long-standing technology agreement with Schiphol Travel International, one of the largest business travel organizations in the Netherlands. The multi-year renewal agreement will see Amsterdam-based Schiphol Travel International deploy Travelport+, Travelport’s next-generation platform that creates a simplified, capability-rich, marketplace for travel retailing.
“The Travelport+ platform is an important element in the expansion of our travel management business and complements our existing implementation of Travelport’s leading technology,” said Daan Lenderink, Managing Director of Schiphol Travel International. “Our modernized and strategic agreement with Travelport will facilitate effortless NDC connections to guarantee our customers a five-star travel retail experience with even more choice, greater levels of personalization, and enriched travel content.”
The implementation of Travelport+ will provide Schiphol Travel International with access to an increasingly broad array of travel content and the latest retail solutions, including the ability to manage and book aggregated NDC content. The travel management company specializing in providing professional services to medium and large multinationals was voted Travel Management Company of the Year by Business Travel & Mobility Club in both 2017 and 2018.
“This multi-year renewal is a testament to our long-established partnership with Schiphol Travel International and will ensure we continue to improve pain points and generate value from every trip” said Alistair Rodger, Group Vice President of Agency Sales for Europe at Travelport. “The evolution of the tools and agency capabilities that Travelport+ provides, such as simplified access to multi-source content including NDC, will streamline complex servicing processes and provide Schiphol Travel’s customers with a modern, digital-first travel experience.”
